Ella Saddington is a multidisciplinary designer and curator interested in narratives of community, materiality and aesthetics. Specialising in process and material investigation her work often incorporates research, collaboration and experimentation as a form of critical practice. Working across furniture and object design, Saddington often focuses on overlooked and ubiquitous processes and materials, in which re-imagined are shown again in a different light.

Establishing Melbourne based design studio and collaborative practice CORDON SALON in 2018. With a particular interest in lost or forgotten processes and crafts the studio works with skilled or specialised craftspeople, artists and designers to create one-of-a-kind or limited edition collectable design works.

In 2020 Saddington founded NEW ASSEMBLAGE a curitorial project that focuses on developing opportunities within the Australian contempory collectable design community through a series of exhibitions and creative programs.
